Terminal 2 is the UK’s largest privately funded construction project with around 35,000 people expected to work on the project over its lifetime. The new Terminal 2 will reduce its carbon footprint incorporating large north-facing windows in the roof to flood the building with natural light. Solar panels on the roof will further reduce the dependency on traditional energy supplies and a new energy centre, partially fuelled by renewably sourced woodchips, will provide heating and cooling for the building.
Pop Up were delighted to support HETco (Laing O’Rourke and Ferrovial Agroman JV) and Hire Station to promote best working practice and appropriate choice of low level access equipment. Demo’d on the day were the Pop Up Push Around Pro. The Pop Up Push Around Eco with the confined space handrail (perfect for access through ceiling tiles) and the new podium prototype (designed to comply with new regulations of PAS 250 due in early 2013).
